The best part of HCCG is undoubtably its people. HCCG strives to foster a warm and welcoming environment that serves as your home away from home. To encourage bonding within your case team and beyond, HCCG facilitates a variety of programs for you to build lasting friendships and connections, from Takes Boston events to Case Team Bonding to Final Party. HCCG Takes Boston
Outside of your case team, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know other members in the HCCG community through various other social events, such as through HCCG Takes Boston, which is a lineup of events in Boston that members attend, ranging from concerts to sporting events to fancy brunches and more! Last year, HCCG members saw Kelly Clarkson and Logic live in concert, went truffle making, and dined at the Table at Season to Taste.
Study Breaks
HCCG organizes several themed study breaks for members throughout the school year to grab food, chill, and get to know other members of the group better. These fun and casual events are a great way to meet new people and build new friendships. Past events have featured boba, pets, and prizes, and semesterly staples include Trivia Night and Kong and Pong.
Case Team Bonding
Case teams are like nuclear families within the larger HCCG community. Much of casework is facilitated through this six-person-team model, and you really get to know and work closely in a collaborative environment with your fellow case team members. We believe it’s always much more enjoyable when you work with friends, hence our strong emphasis on case team bonding and building a strong case team culture every semester. Case teams, oftentimes on joint outings with other case teams, enjoy outings to nice restaurants, paintballing, etc.
PANDAs
Mentorship is another defining element of the HCCG experience. At the start of the semester, every member is paired with a board member, affectionately called a PANDA (Pleasant and Non-Stressful Development Associate), who serves as a resource and mentor for anything related to your college experience, HCCG or otherwise. Outings with your PANDA fam are a great way to interact with Board and other members of the group.
Final Party
Each semester culminates in a large and festive group-wide celebration — Final Party, where members celebrate the semester’s successes at an extravagant venue with great food and even better company. HCCG works hard and plays hard, and the Final Party is a great way to show appreciation for all your dedication and hard work throughout the semester. Past venues have included Fenway Park, Searles Castle, and the JFK Presidential Library.
